Today we are going to discuss G’iah powers and abilities. Marvel has just created the ultimate superhero, G’iah, capable of defeating the Avengers and rendering them powerless in the face of her godlike abilities ,
The Unveiling of G’iah Powers.
Secret Invasion ended with Gravik’s death (however that happened) and Nick Fury and his wife leaving Earth to run SABRE’s space station. The Skrulls elected G’iah as their new leader. In addition, the episode gave G’iah the skills of every hero who perished in the Battle of Earth in Endgame, not just the Avengers.Episode 6 built on Secret Invasion by making Captain Marvel and her DNA central to G’iah’s argument to a believing Gravik for The Harvest, further solidifying her status as the most powerful Avenger.
That reveal ended a decade of speculation about whether or not Brie Larson’s hero was too powerful. After all, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s magically endowed heroes, Thor the God of Thunder, Hulk the Near-Invincible Monster of Gamma Radiation and Rage, and Captain America the Model Super Soldier all had compelling arguments. Despite their Earth-shattering powers, neither Thor’s “daughter” Love nor America Chavez are mentioned. On his Skrull supercomputer, Gravik finds every character from The Harvest after scanning the Avengers’ DNA. Nick Fury, who is really G’iah, gives him the genetic material. Counting Groot’s DNA and the other specimens Gravik stole for himself, G’iah has an incredible abundance of power sources:
Supersoldier power Captain America/The Winter Soldier: If Gravik throws a right hook at “Fury,” and “Fury” blocks it with a haymaker to Gravik’s chin, the result is a “Hulk Punch.”
The adaptability of Groot allows Gravik and G’iah to continually flex (and repair themselves) in order to better prepare for their fight against Extremis.
To combat Drax’s strength and stamina, Gravik fortified his left arm with Obsidian to make it as powerful as the right. G’iah flexes his muscles rather literally.
G’iah uses Ghost’s phasing powers to evade an oncoming car. To create a hideous hybrid of the two races, Gravik releases the terrible talents of the Abomination.
Another transformation (G’iah opies) occurs in Korg Gravik’s left arm’s longevity.
G’iah’s cold blade hand, possibly descended from the Frost Beast’s Jotunheim lineage.
Gravik utilizes telekinesis to hurl rubble at G’iah after he has partially transformed into Ebony Maw. Gravik, in torn shorts and all the strength of the Hulk, drop-kicks G’iah into the air.
Gravik’s arm has turned purple again, thanks to Thanos’ immense power.
In this binary, G’iah and Gravik each show their inner Captain Marvel and their superpowers.
In order to put Gravik to sleep, G’iah orders him to “go to sleep” and then uses Mantis’ telepathy to put him to rest.
Unstoppable Force: G’iah.
The events of Secret Invasion: Episode 6 elevate G’iah to the pinnacle of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s superheroes, making her more powerful than the Super-Skrulls of Marvel Comics. This is because she killed Gravik with an energy blast. She has almost indestructible body armor, Asgardian DNA (and hence slowed aging), the healing factor of Extremis, the enormous magical potential of Ebony Maw, and a catalogue of super strength variations, all of which she demonstrated in her last fight with Gravik. She proves that she can defeat an opponent of equal strength with ease, in this case Gravik. Secret Invasion appears to prove that Kingsley Ben-Adir’s villain is dead, albeit it is unclear how she does this considering that Gravik has access to the Extremis healing factor.
When the MCU has tried to rein back its strongest heroes in the past, the new G’iah has mocked those efforts. Captain Marvel, Vision, Thor, and Scarlet Witch all have emotional limits on their powers, while Hulk’s transformation into Professor Hulk has drastically softened his personality. However, G’iah’s emotional weakness actually serves her well, as it is Gravik’s teasing that triggers the fatal strike. It’s hard to imagine a single character in the MCU being able to destroy G’iah at this moment, unless new cosmically gifted heroes are introduced. However, the franchise can only expand so far.
G’iah’s Potential as Earth’s Defender.
Gravik’s strange death, with no explanation as to why his healing factor didn’t rescue him, raises the notion that G’iah has limits. That’s a good thing, because otherwise the MCU would have an unstoppable hero whose shadow would fall over every potentially catastrophic event in the universe (much like the Avengers’ used to).At the climax of Secret Invasion, Olivia Colman’s character, Sonya Falsworth, supposedly recruits G’iah to lead the Skrulls in exchange for the protection of the British government, under the condition that she work as a hero on Earth’s behalf. G’iah appears to be on okay with this, provided that the Skrulls are not endangered in the same way they were when Talos teamed up with Fury to create a new power axis in the MCU.
